Guarnaschelli also participated in The Next Iron Chef in season 4 in 2011. She competed and lost in an episode of Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast. Following the conclusion of The Next Iron Chef's 4th season, she was named sous-chef under Iron chef Geoffrey Zakarian. She became host of The Food Network's The Cooking Loft With Alex Guarnaschelli in 2008, and she instructs a small class of students on the best ways to cook classic meals.
